February has been an exciting month for the Wanda Mountain Boys.  Since returning from the cruise, we have been busy fielding phone calls.  2010 looks to be one of our busiest years yet.

Happy New Year from the Wanda Mountain Boys!  We are looking forward to a busy 2010 so keep watching our schedule as it is changing regularly.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, our booking at Grace World Outreach in Brooksville, FL has been cancelled.

Life has  become just too busy lately so I apologize for a lack of a newsletter the last several months.  I hope to do a better job in the following year of keeping this updated.

My how time flies when you're having fun.  The last 6 weeks were gone in a flash and I realized that I hadn't written to you all in awhile.

Things have been crazy around the O'Neal household so I am late writing the newsletter.  My wife and I celebrated our 17th anniversary on July 18, and we are achieving a dream for our marriage and buying our first home.  As I write this, we are about a week away from closing then the move begins.  God has provided a miracle in our lives and we give him all the praise.

The Southern Gospel experience that everyone is talking about is coming to the Nazarene Community Center in Roxana, IL.

May has been a very busy month for the Wanda Mountain Boys.  We have been all over the Midwest and have had a wonderful time visiting with many of our friends.

April was a very fun month for the Wanda Mountain Boys. We are having a blast sharing our music across the Midwest and are looking forward to coming to your area soon.

 

It's hard to believe that a quarter of the year has come and gone.  March was a wet month in our part of the country but we survived and we are gearing up for some exciting Spring concerts.

Things are back to normal now that we have returned from the Caribbean. It’s back to practicing and gearing up for another busy year.

Things have finally calmed down after the holidays and it’s time to get back in the singing mode. I for one can’t wait. We are looking forward to a great 2009. We already have some exciting dates booked and are currently booking dates for the rest of the year.

Another year has come and gone and as we reflect upon 2008, we can see the hand of God upon our lives through some tough times and some wonderful blessings. Thanks to all of you that have held the group and it’s individual members up in prayer over the last year.

Can you believe that the holidays are upon us? Where has this year gone? I guess as I get older, time moves much faster. I celebrated my first anniversary with the Wanda Mountain Boys on Saturday, November 1st. I can’t think of a better place to do that than with our friend JoAnn Clark and the folks at the Barn in Pana, IL.

This is my favorite time of the year, when there’s just a little bit of chill in the air and the trees are so beautiful. God is so amazing how he can display such wonders and control all of this. It astounds me that people can look at these things and not acknowledge Him.

It’s finally here! Our new recording New Ship Sailin’ is now available. It has been nearly three years since the group has had a new project and we are excited about this release. We want to thank all of you who ordered the CD in advance and pray that it is a blessing to you.

I can’t believe that it has been 8 months since I joined the Wanda Mountain Boys. We are having a lot of fun singing and traveling. These two guys are great to travel with and wonderful friends.

The month of July started off with a bang for the Wanda Mountain Boys. The 4th of July was a busy day for us as we had two concerts. Our good friends, Laura and Roy Sturm and the folks with the Hillsboro, IL 4th of July committee, invited us to help kick off their big holiday celebration

Our new recording project is coming along nicely. It is in the final stages and should be mixed and mastered in the next few weeks. Bill Schell has worked hard on this project to make it happen. We would also like to thank Scott Lomelino, of the Chosen Ones, for his hard work in the design of our new CD cover. Both of these men are special friends of the Wanda Mountain Boys.

I am late with this month’s newsletter. I am currently recovering from a 7 day stay in Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis. I was diagnosed with Diverticulitus and my body was full of infection

April was a good month for the Wanda Mountain Boys. We kicked it off with our friends at Heritage Freewill Baptist Church in Springfield, IL. Pastor Karel Smith and his congregation was a great bunch to sing to.

I hope that you all had a blessed Easter! It’s overwhelming to think that God would love us enough to send His only son to die for us. How unworthy we all are.

It’s hard to believe that February has come and gone. We have had some exciting opportunities to share our music this month and God is continuing to open some new doors for us.
